Through the eyes of a team member:
On this holiday I saw (and heard) sheep and cattle butchered in the streets to commemorate God’s provision of a lamb when Ibrahim was going to sacrifice Ishmael (in their beliefs). They believe there is a higher probability of A!!ah forgiving sins when they pray during this holiday.
Two colleagues and I asked our new teacher to read Arabic Bible verses so that we can memorize them. She agreed with much openness. After we each recited the verses, our teacher began to quote Jn. 14:6, Rom. 3:23, and Ps. 27:1. We were shocked! His Word does not return void. He is working and we are honored to be a part of it!
The Lord has also given me a true friend, who I call Deborah. She has many questions about God and is not shy about asking them! Please pray the Holy Spirit will overcome her unbelief.
My friends have said they truly desire to be forgiven, yet despite their prayers and good works, forgiveness is never certain.
I am thankful for Jesus, the Lamb of God, who sacrificed His life to present us without blemish before God. May we all continue to proclaim that forgiveness comes not through our own works but through believing in Jesus!
